Transcending mere cloning or digital simulations.
Cyclone Analogic introduced it’s first product the ‘Bass Bot’ TT-303 in November 25, 2012. Devised by a group of engineers across the globe who set out to provide an ever growing appetite for a limited availability of a then 30 year old product originally introduced by Roland Corp., Japan in 1981.
Since that time dozens have attempted clones to best emulate the original sounds of the TB-303. But it had never been attempted to perfectly capture the originality of the device on any commercial scale using SMT components. Despite great demand since the mid nineties. The technology had become available in 1993 by then NEC Japan who had introduced the first SMT transistors necessary for such manufacture. However, such technology had been egregiously overlooked as engineers were redirected towards digital components and software simulations. The tools were there and waiting.
In the meantime people began to resort to self building their clones with questionable parts that to this day still flood the market. Re-claimed from pcb pulled out from masses of garbage shipped to China that in turn it then re-sold to the unsuspecting customer.
This led to an ever increasing need to display the technology existed to commercially manufacture analogue instruments. And the appeal of exploring beyond the capabilities of original original devices standard pre-set parameters for the user interface.
With the addition of ever increasingly power computer chips at worlds more powerful than early processors of the 1980s. It is now possible to explore the incorporation of new technologies to embellish circuits to be honed to the finest. With the specific intentions of catering to those who enjoy music with such machines that have such ‘phony’ characteristics much loved across genres from Rap to Techno.
Exploring new technologies such as high speed and high capacity computer processors. Allowing for maximum user storage and artificial intelligence routines such as for presets and mutation or waveform manipulation for Nuance generation in rhythms.
Digital pots that can provide for multiple instruments to be tweaked without cluttering a panel with a multitude of complex controls by one tone knob.
RGB full spectrum LEDS that allow for a user to visually catalogue patterns as they wish for performance.
Our Story
Every business has a beginning, and this is where you talk about yours. People want to know what opportunity you saw or how your passion led to the creation of something new. Talk about your roots–people wanna know you have some.
Meet the Team
Write something about the people who make your business go or your philosophy behind customer service.
Why? Because people want to know who they’re doing business with. It’s a human thing.
